Apple details process for converting legacy media format in pro video apps before macOS 10.15 update

Quicktime is dead... if you have any old QT movies, convert them to a more recent file type. "Apple has released updates to iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor which “detect media files that may be incompatible with future versions of macOS after Mojave and convert them to compatible formats.” You should upgrade to those and check your old media files in the coming weeks. PASSWORDS _ KEEPING THEM SAFE I know passwords are a pain.... But you HAVE to have different passwords for different sites. Several of my clients this month have had their identity stolen, and the bad guys used their email address/password to login in and reset passwords on all their available accounts.... plus cleared out their bank accounts. Come up with a scheme to keep them unique on every site (part of the company name works for some of my clients as a part of the password) and use a password vault/manager. In addition, use your phone as a second verification method for changing your password. if your bank or account can do two factor with your cell phone or an authentication app, DO IT. That way EVEN if they steal your password, they don't have your phone to get the verification code or authentication from the app on the phone to login and get your money or information. Lastpass, Dashlane and Keeper are well reviewed password keepers. Just make sure you set it to "time out" and close when you exit the browser. Some people use the older Roboform and 1password. USE SOMETHING. Otherwise you are stuck with pieces of paper or spreadsheets vulnerable to malware or memory. And a manager makes it easier to go change passwords if you have a breach reported to you.
