I have circles now for family, friends, acquaintenances, faith friends and more. I like Google+ so far, but as some one said, it's still a little empty compared to facebook, but definitely more configurable.
Since you designate who you share with each post, you can be freer with more pertinent stuff to family and only post less personal things to work associates or clients.
